South East Asia Coronavirus

         CoronaVirus: In SEA

Hello from South East Asia!
As you know, things have changed since my last post.
For example, all schools have shut down!
For me, this is not a problem. Less french the better!
But there is not only bright sides. I am a outside-world person. So the fact that I can't go outside the house is really annoying.
Also, my school is still sending work at home with Skype. I can't wait until the holidays next week!
Do you like CoronaVirus?
Other than that, my world is good. Here in my remote province, there is mountains and few people with Corona. Still, cautions are being taken even here.
The awesome market shut, and so did all the cafes. Only a few food shops are open, and to go into them you must wear a mask and have your temperature taken! I mean, COME ON!!!
How are things everywhere else? What are you doing to keep away the boredom?
Hope you all keep well!
Catch you later!

Hello from south-east Asia!! :)

  Hello from south-east Asia!!!!

Hello!

This is Emily Hutson posting my first blog for 6 months in south-east Asia!
I have been in SEA for 6 months, and after a rocky start, have started to settle in. I go to a multilingual school that is mostly french, and have learnt most of the language quickly, and while missing NZ have to much stuff to do to dwell on it much lately.
Almost every weekend we go somewhere, and this weekend it was kuang si waterfall, a beautiful place to swim with little fish that eat your dead skin( which tickles! )
I have seen snakes and lizards and other animals here in SEA. We are still settling in, but quicker now we have been here for a while.
I don't know if anyone still visits this blog, but if you are, I hope you enjoy catching up on my soon-to-be-weekly posts!
Hoping your having as good a time as me, sitting in school with a new friend beside me!
Bye!

How long?

How Long?

For this activity we had to get in groups, and then 1 member had to jump as far as they could, and we would try and guess how many cm they jumped. After that we would measure how far they jumped. Once we jumped 1.94!
I really enjoyed this activity.

Chapter Chat Task

          Chapter chat task.

WALT: Experience what it's like to be dyslexic.

This week we have been doing chapter chat on A Fish In A Tree. Chapter chat is when you read a book as a class, and then you have different activities on that book each week. The image is a picture of the Must Do activity I did with my friend Arliah. We had to decode a paragraph which was spelt as dyslexic people see words. It gave me a whole new look at dyslexic people!
Maybe one of those schools is yours!
