W.A.L.T.use pictures to describe runga. In te reo we had to choose a word and find images to go with it. Runga means up/on. The birds are on trees and the cats are on chairs. What else is on or up?
Today for math we had to come up with clues for anumber and post them on our blog to see if anyone could guess it! It was rather hard thinking up clues, but I got there in the end. Look forward to seeing if you can guess in the comments below!
This week I went on Arthurs pass camp! Arthurs Pass is a pass through the mountains between Greymouth and Christchurch. At camp, we went on a very long sensory trail through the bush, went up to Death's corner to look at Kea, went Orienteering through the bush, and so much more! My favourite thing was Devils Punchbowl, a really cool waterfall. I really enjoyed it. Actually, my opinion is that you go to Arthurs pass yourself! You would enjoy it a lot.
This week we have been learning how to write a descriptive piece of writing. Here is a sentence from my piece... The Nikau palm is a tall, native, beautiful tree found on the West coast of New Zealand. This was a lot of fun.
